A recent addition to the band,
John Franzosa also plays sax and piano
with a number of swing and jazz groups including his own "Small Group
Projects." Having set aside music to pursue other careers (first a
professor of English, then a technical writer), he has been studying,
playing and teaching since moving back to New England in the '80s. He
now teaches woodwinds, piano and jazz improvisation in his home studio
in Hampton, NH.
John studied flute and sax while at the University of Connecticut and
since his return to jazz has studied piano with Tommy Gallant and sax
and improvisation with Jerry Bergonzi. For more info, you can check out
