Bob Foucht plays bass trombone for GBSO. After
graduating from the Navy School Of Music in 1957
(now known as the Armed Forces School of Music in Little Creek, Virginia)
Bob performed around the world and at home, In 1960 he entered the Cincinnati
Conservatory of Music. Upon graduation, Bob perused a joint career of teaching
and performing.
A very versatile player, Bob is often sought after to perform for Musical Theater, Symphony Orchestras, Pop and Jazz bands. He has paid his dues on bands like The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and both the North & South Shore Music Theaters right here in Massachusetts.
Bob has appeared with Myron Floren (The Lawrence Welk Show), Ralph Flanagan, trombonist Buddy Morrow, Ralph Matere, Johnny Long, Tex Beneke and a host of others.
He retired from teaching a few years ago but has taken on the responsibilities of band director for the local chapter of Shriners. Although retired, Bob is one busy fellow.
