Mike Straus makes his home in Newburyport, MA. He is so in demand as a trombonist that we have to share him with another local band. So, Mike comes to rehearsal every other week and plays the lead chair for us and plays a mean bass trombone on the other band. He also participates in our brass choir.

Having his own business, rehearsing with a few bands and playing band jobs makes Mike a hard guy to track down. He is the only trombone player I know who actually does need a cell phone.

GBSO is grateful to have him.
