Paul Vignoli is one of the most talented lead
alto players around Boston. Accomplished on tenor and alto and clarinet, Paul
is always in demand. Small groups to big bands, Paul is the guy near the top
of every band leader's list as first call. And rightly so.
Paul has shared stages and dressing rooms with Roy Eldridge, Cootie Williams, Gee Gee Grice and Louis Armstrong. He has appeared in Downbeat magazine and worked with Chuck Berry, Tommy Sands,Tony Bennett, The 4 Aces and The 4 Grads. He has worked every jazz joint in Boston such as Boston's High Hat club, Downbeat club, The Red Foxx, Gus Dixon's, and Buddies in Revere. You can catch him at Tony's and The Caravan in Revere.
Hailing from East Boston, Paul retired from teaching a few years ago. You will find him out every night of the week either running to a rehearsal or gig.
