How are band breaks scheduled?
Breaks are needed by the musicians in order to get the blood flowing back in their "chops", quench their thirst and stretch their legs. Unless you are a musician, you may never understand how demanding playing an instrument can be. Break time is used to help the musicians get a second wind.
Lets assume GBSO is hired to play a 4 hour job that starts at 8:00 PM. Four hours represents 240 minutes. We will take two 15 minute breaks during that time. The first one would occur at 9:10 and the band would be resuming at 9:25. The next break would occur at 10: 35 and resume at 10:50. We continue until midnight.
This schedule is not locked in stone. Many times there is some sort of event which takes place such as award presentations or raffles. GBSO will play as much as possible and work with the organizers to help insure the best event possible.
