Cancellation of a job has never happened to GBSO.

Neither we nor the client has ever had to cancel a job. However, I can foresee circumstances that could lead to a cancellation.

Weather is the most likely event to cause a cancellation. Conditions would have to be very severe before GBSO would cancel a job.

A catastrophic event which renders the hall useless may cause a cancellation. Generally, another hall could be found if there is enough time.

Unexpected hospitalization could cause the job to be postponed or canceled.

There are many good reasons why a job would need to be postponed or canceled. We at GBSO also realize that the pendulum swings both ways. A large band, such as GBSO, canceling a job because an individual musician is indisposed, is not likely. We have choices. Find a replacement or go with the players we have. Once all parties have signed the contract we are locked in.

Should the client need to cancel a job there is every chance that the deposit will be lost. Depending on circumstances surrounding the cancellation, the client may still be responsible for paying the remainder of the fee. An example of this would be if the wedding couple decided not to marry after the contract has been signed. The entire fee would still have to be paid. If the band should find another job for the same day, then the balance would not have to be paid but the deposit would still be forfeited.

If you have any questions concerning cancellations, please contact us before signing a contract.
