Swing music
is indeed coming back. Swing music is the style of music we concentrate on playing at GBSO. Music that was born between 1935 and 1960 is a large part of our library. The music written on "Tin Pan Alley", the back of a 1940's bus or born instantly on a gig is what we play. Music that was created using acoustic instruments, music you can actually remember the melody, music who's lyrics are understandable and clean. This is the style of music we create. We will learn ethnic tunes, your favorite song or the tune your want to dance to at your wedding. All we need is enough time . We will accommodate you as much as we possibly can.

Our library
was composed by people like Gershwin, Ellington, Berlin and made popular by people like Sinatra, Basie and Miller. We play some new arrangements of old tunes, old arrangements of old tunes and some brand new tunes and arrangements. Our library is constantly growing. We are always looking for new tunes and arrangements.

What we do not play!!!
is today's top 40, rock and roll, acid rock and rap. You are not going to hear a version of "Who Let The Dogs Out" by GBSO. If any of the preceding is your thing and that is what you are expecting, please find another band. But if you want to dance the "Lindy" or snuggle up and dance to a "slow one", then this is the right band for you.
